On Celebrating Our Third Year and Keeping Things Low-Key

Hello there!

The year is almost done and thank goodness I found time to write this blog post because hello, it's all about my beau and I's third anniversary and I can't let 2016 end without featuring it here. While we have decided not to post about our celebration on social media because flaunting our relationship too much is not our thing, I insisted on writing something about it for documentation purposes. I always have this nagging fear that I'll have amnesia just like in the movies and I need some help to remember who I was and how my life has been that's why I'm doing this.

Okaaay, enough of my kadaldalan and *like a seasoned Youtuber* LET'S GET STARTED!

For this year's celebration, we were torn between going all out or saving our moolah for more important things (like clothes for him and makeup for me, charot) and just having a simple dinner.

But then, there is this booking mishap.

It still isn't clear to me why exactly my sister Ate Bing booked a hotel room by mistake. But from what I can remember, she was trying to reschedule the booking but she no longer can and it's already paid, so she decided to just let us use the booking for free!

Thank you to my generous sister! *cries glitter tears*
So here's where we stayed.

According to the resort's website, Crosswinds Swiss Luxury Resort is "a haven south of Manila inspired by the architecture of Switzerland", featuring "rows of picturesque chalets" situated at one of Tagaytay's highest points. While the Swiss influence was evident, the place felt more like Baguio to me (because of the pine trees, perhaps).

The hotel is at the farthest part of the property from the entrance. Fortunately, they have a shuttle service for guests who want to get from one place to another within the area.

Hirap ng walang kotse, mga bes.

And because this is just a part of our anniv celebration, I will be telling the rest of the story with pictures.

Ang susi...

It's a spacious one-bedroom suite, yay!

The living room

The quite small and far TV with a DVD player and a pair of speakers

Kitchen na kumpleto ng gamit. I used the oven to cook everything, even
Spam slices, hahaha.

Preparing our lunch. Lakas maka-homemaker, cheret.

Lalalalala...

Ta-daaa...our no-rice lunch! We bought the roast chicken
sa Rustan's Shangrila. Masarap dahil madaming herbs!

The bedroom. Mas maganda sana kung may canopy.

Toiletries.

Millenial picture-taking 101

It's some sort of a Christmas house kaya lang
sarado naman.

Cafe Voila, which is near the property's entrance pati
na rin sa CBTL
Quirky Asian interior. I love it!

Picture na kuha ng waiter  *importante yan*

More shwelfies!

Matcha drink for me and a coffee-based drink for Hon
coconut milk, hahaha)

Artsy shot niya *importante rin ito*

At isa pa...

Kinabukasan: breakfast buffet!!!

Our plates.

Pityur-pityur bago umalis

Ate Bing and Gabo fetched us.

UPDAAATE!

Unfortunately, the boyfriend was able to recover only a few photos of our anniv food trip because of the memory card problem *cries*. We had dinner on the 29th at Planet Grapes in Shangri-La because we thought we won't meet na on the actual anniv date.

WHY DO I LOOK SO AWKWARD HERE? T_T

Gambas

We fell in love with these ribs, huhuhu. And I think it's only thing
we super liked, hahaha! We are coming back for ya, baby!

Creme brulee sampler in classic, banana, and durian flavors

But then, because we somehow felt nalugi sa Planet Grapes, we decided to have lunch on the 30th at Ippudo in Megamall and damn, we made the right resto choice. Walang mali sa pagkain nila, nacacaloca *shrieks in delight*. We had ramen and other stuff but we only have the photo of our dessert.

Matcha creme brulee na sobrang sarap. Heaven, as in!

And for my reflection essay, cheret:

Wow, three years. Hon, thank you for loving me and embracing my craziness since Day 1. Let's just continue to make this work and encourage each other to become better persons. I love you!

If you came across this and read from start to end, thank yooou and til my next post!
