Office OST

I would like to claim that I am an old soul when it comes to music. I love listening to tracks from the 70's and 80's, which I think came from being with older people all the time (my dad's already 72, and my sisters are in their early/mid 40's). But then, I have to admit that, gasp, I listen to Dawin's Dessert every now and then. Okay, let's just say that I have an eclectic taste. There are so many good songs from all eras and genres, so why would I limit myself to just a few?

I usually go on a "sound trip" when at work. I don't know why and how I can edit manuscripts while doing it. It does not distract me a bit, so long as the volume's not in full blast.

Here are some of my musical companions during office hours:

Igor Stravinsky
I got curious of Stravinsky when Jerrold Tarog mentioned The Rite of Spring as his inspiration in creating the musical scoring for his phenomenal work, Heneral Luna. And there I was, typing rapidly to the beat of Stravinsky's compositions.

VST & Company
This is mainly Eat Bulaga's fault. I'm currently loving Disco Fever, Rock Baby Rock, and Magnifica. My stepmom  once caught me dancing to Magnifica and she thought I was rehearsing for a dance number, hehe.

My Chemical Romance
I'm seriously wishing for a voice like Gerard Way's. And as weird as it may sound, I like the "poetry" in some of their songs. My favorites include The End, Mama, Cancer, Famous Last Words, Teenagers, and Welcome to the Black Parade (which all came from the same album).

Eraserheads
I don't need to explain this one. I always listen to Julie Tearjerky, Kamasupra, Superproxy, and Fruitcake (my official Christmas song this coming December) on Spotify.

Lorde
There are just so many teenager feels. I would like to believe that she was the bullied oddball in class, which made her lyrics so on point for me, as I was (still am) an oddball. My life anthems are Tennis Court, Ribs and Bravado.

Rage Against the Machine
I play their hits to keep me pumped up. Spotify's Top 10 are all good to listen to.
